Coryn earned her law degree (J.D.) from The George Washington University Law School in 2013, and she received her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009, from which she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. During law school, Coryn participated in GW Law’s Vaccine Injury Clinic, where she represented clients seeking redress in the United States Court of Federal Claims for vaccine-related injuries. She was also a staff member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. Coryn has been an Altman and Associates team member since 2012, formerly as an intern.
Coryn’s practice includes drafting Wills, Trusts, Financial Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives, HIPAA Release Forms, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for our Maryland and Florida clients, as well as drafting Special Needs Trusts for our Maryland residents. She guides clients through the process of establishing small family businesses in Maryland and Florida and through the process of modifying or terminating Maryland trusts. Coryn also advises clients in all stages of the Maryland probate process.
Coryn loves estate planning, and she especially enjoys working with young couples starting their lives together. She is a regular attendee of continuing education seminars in her practice area, including the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning in 2016. She is a member of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Association.
Coryn hails from New York, but she is a third generation Terp and a big Maryland fan.
