Local Estate Planning Attorney, Gary Altman, Esq., Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Gary Altman, Esq., founder of the Maryland-based estate planning law firm Altman & Associates, has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area (FPA NCA). The award, presented to Mr. Altman at the FPA NCA's June symposium, is in recognition of his long-standing service to the financial planning community.
“I am especially honored and humbled by the recognition,” said Altman. “I have been involved with the Financial Planning Association for 25 years where I have had the privilege of working with many incredibly talented people…people who I am proud to call my colleagues and friends.”
As the first estate planning attorney to join the association back in 1988, Altman has remained a strong advocate of the important relationship between financial and estate planning. Throughout his tenure with the FPA NCA, he has served as the organization’s Chairman and President as well as contributed to various task forces. In 2008, the FPA NCA bestowed Altman with the Norma G. Severns Leadership Award in appreciation of his contribution to the growth and improvement of the financial planning profession.
A nationally recognized estate, legacy and business planning authority, Gary's "outstanding expertise, trustworthiness and commitment to his clients’ needs" has earned him recognition by Washingtonian magazine as among the DC region's "Best Estate Planners".
