Over the years, many of our clients have received official-looking letters offering to provide a copy of the deed to their property and property tax assessment for a fee in the neighborhood of $86. Please do not respond to the letter! This is a scam. There is no reason for anyone to pay for this service. If you want a copy of your deed or tax assessment, they can be found online or, if you are a client of ours, we will gladly retrieve this information for you and send it to you.
There are many other scams and attempts to swindle money from unknowing individuals. If you are concerned about any other letter or phone call you have received, please call us or the local police station.
